What I saw in my last class
is that students did not understand the warm-up. Consequently, it didn’t
work. After that I introduced some vocabulary related with perfect modals. It
helped students to discuss with a partner about regrets they had in life. The
class was boring since the beginning because they did not understand some
vocabulary. However, some students talked too, so they did not pay
attention. The materials I used in the
class were markers, the board and charts. The traditional arrangement was
used in this class.

The instructions were not
clear so that students got confused when they had to develop the warm-up
I have realized the
importance of the warm-up. It helps to create a good environment in the
class.
I think the warm-up did not
help the student’s learning because they started the class with a bad mood.
They were boring, and that feeling was in the whole class.

Based on what I already know
about warm-ups, I think it’s necessary to choose a good warm-up, and if it
does not work try to join the warm-up with the next activity, so we can avoid
having a bad environment during the whole class.
Based on what I observed, I
think students generally felt boring since the beginning of the class. Since
the warm-up helps to motivate them, we have to be very careful as it created
the environment of the class.
I believe that giving
instructions can help or hinder students learning because if the students do
not understand the activity, the teacher cannot achieve the goals of it.

So, in the future, I will
try to give better directions by using just three verbs.
In future lessons I will try
to join the warm-ups that doesn’t work with the next activity in order to
avoid having a bad environment.
The next time I teach this
lesson, I will try to bring more material to make the class more interesting.
