2nd class- 3rd Period

Describe
What I observed in the first 3 minutes of the class is that students were kind of bored because they just had to listen to fables. However, they understood the stories, and they were able to talk about them. The materials I used were markers, the board. Moreover, the seating arrangement was the traditional

I think that the seating arrangement has to be implemented according to the activities that will be applied in the class

The seating arrangement is important because it can help to achieve the purpose of the activity.


This can help students’ learning since the teacher can monitor students easily so that he can check If they have mistakes


Based on what I already know about seating arrangement, I think each seating arrangement helps to monitor students and it helps.

Based on what I observed, I think students generally work better if the seating arrangement is different

I believe that seating arrangement can help students learning because according to the activity students can work in a different way which can call their attention, and motivate them to work.

So, in the future, I will change the seating arrangement according to the activities.

First Class- 3rd period

What I noticed in the first 3 minutes of the class was that students were motivated. And that is something that helped to have a good environment in the class. Students participated a lot since they knew some things about the topic which was passive voice. The materials I used were the board, markers, and a chart in order to explain grammar. The seating arrangement I used was the traditional one.

I think students were really motivated in the class since they like to speak about interesting topics. In this case, they talk about animals’ facts, and they were speaking a lot about the topic

Motivation is really important because of it depends if the students will work as it should be in all the activities.

I think motivation helps students’ learning, but the teacher has to encourage them to speak in the class, and to participate.


Based on what I already know about motivation, I think teachers have to motivated in order to motivate students.

Based on what I observed, I think students generally participate more in the classes if they are motivated.

I believe that the teacher must encourage students to participate in the class as sometimes they feel bored.

So, in the future, I will encourage students to work on the activities by giving them interesting topics

In future lessons I will bring more speaking activities so that they can speak more about the topics

The next time I teach this lesson I will explain the grammar part by giving the grammar in context instead of teaching the patterns

3rd Class (Second Period)

Describe
What I observed in the first 3 minutes of the class was that students enjoyed the warm-up, and at the same time, they made a reviewed of the previous topic. I think, the environment was good since the beginning of the class. They participated a lot in all the activities. And the materials I used were a chart to explain grammar, markers, pieces of paper, and fill in the blanks.

I made a good decision choosing the warm-up because students really liked it. And it helped to create a good environment in the class. Moreover, they made a review of the previous class, and they learned new vocabulary.

Creating a good environment in the class is really important to have a meaning learning in the whole class. If students feel motivated to learn, they will participate.

The good environment helped students to be focus in the grammar explanation. They felt comfortable to give example, and opinions in this part of the class.

Based on what I already know about grammar, I think teacher has to allow students to help to create examples.

Based on what I observed, I think students generally had a good time in the grammar part since they provided their own examples, and they had fun when doing it.

I believe that giving some freedom to speak in the grammar part can help students learning since sometimes they don’t understand the explanation, but they understand when help to create examples.

So, in the future, I will make students participate in the grammar part by helping to make examples.

In future lessons I will be more enthusiastic by encouraging students to participate in the class.

The next time I teach this lesson, I will prepare more speaking activities.

Second class (2° period)

What I noticed in the first 3 minutes of the class was that students were kind of bored while doing the warm-up which was lips reader. Some students were talking, and some others were paying attention. The environment was nice. They participated in the activities.  The arrangement of the classroom was the traditional one. The material I used were markers, board and a chart to explain grammar.

I used complex sentences in the warm-up, so students were frustrated since they didn’t guess any sentence.

I think that we have to adequate the sentences according to the kind of warm-up we will develop.

This is really important because activities cannot work because they are not adequate for Student’s level.



Based on what I already know about explaining grammar, I think teachers have to make them participate in this part of the class.

Based on what I observed, I think students generally pay more attention in they are involved in the grammar part

I believe that involving students in the grammar section can help students to have a meaningful learning

So, in the future, I will involve my students in the grammar part by encourage them to create their own sentences.

In future lessons I will adequate the sentences to the students’ level.



Class 1 (2° Period)

Describe
What I noticed in the first 3 minutes of the class is that students were excited about playing the question web. Most of the students were paying attention to what students were saying.  The environment was really nice since students were participating in the activities. The arrangement of the classroom was the traditional. I used markers to play noughts and crosses. Moreover, I used some pieces of paper with some questions in the warm-up activity.

Some students were lost when they were doing the activities.

I think directions are the engine to move the activities in the correct way to achieve the purpose.

If we want that our students learn, it is necessary to prepare clear directions for each activity. As a result, the students will learn by achieving the purpose of the activity.

If students do not understand directions, the purpose of the activity will not be achieved. Consequently, students will not learn.

Based on what I already know about directions, I think they should be short.

Based on what I observed, I think students generally understand directions if they are shorter.

I believe that shorter instructions can help students learning because they are easy understandable.

So, in the future, I will implement shorter instructions.

In future lessons I will encourage students to participate in the class.

The next time I teach this lesson, I will use 3 verbs when giving directions

In future experiences I will also include charts to make my class more attractive.

3rd Class- 1st Period

What I observed in the first 3 minutes of the class was that students liked to play Pictionary. Also, the environment was really good since all the class participated. The materials I used were markers, the board and some sheet of paper.

Speaking activities help to create a good environment in the class, and at the same time students have fun and practice the language.

Speaking activities is the most important part when learning a language since it helps students to not feel afraid of speaking, and also be more fluent when speaking

This help students to think in English instead of thinking in their native language. Also, they develop a good fluency and loose the fear of speaking in another language.

Based on what I already know about speaking activities, I think teacher should apply more speaking activities in their classes.

Based on what I observed, I think students generally love speaking activities since they have fun in the classroom

I believe that speaking activities can help students’ learning because they learn English while they have fun at the same time.

So, in the future, I will apply more speaking activities

In future lessons I will create a chart to explain grammar

The next time I teach this lesson, I will prepare less written activities.

In future experiences I will also include more funny activities.

2nd class (First Period)

What I saw in the first 3 minutes of the class is that students were really excited about playing the game Do you love me? They really loved that game. Also, this warm-up helped the students to start the class with a good mood. The materials I used were markers, the board, and sheet of papers.

Students feel tired or bored before to start the class, so the warm-up helps motivate students in the whole class.

The warm-up is really important in the class because it can help not only for motivating students but also for having a feedback of the previous class.

The warm-up helps students and the teacher to create a good environment, so they feel free to participate or to make comments about the class.

Based on what I already know about the students’ attention, the activities can work or fail. If the students are not focus on the activity, they will not understand what they have to do, so the purpose of the activity fails.

Based on what I observed, I think students generally paid attention to the activity, so the purpose of it was fulfilled.

I believe that paying attention to the activities can help or hinder student learning because an activity is made with the purpose of learning a specific topic. However, if the students do not pay attention to the activity, they won’t understand.  And the purpose of the activity won’t be achieved.

So, in the future, I will give shorter and clearer instructions

In future lessons, I will establish some rules for my classes.

The next time I teach this lesson, I will bring charts for grammar explanations
